Tools for Runners

Below are some resources that have been helpful to me over the past few months as I've started my journey (barely).  I hope you can find some of these useful and/or share some that have been beneficial to you! 


Running Log
Start a running log on this site to help keep track of your miles and time.  


Upcoming Alaska Races
This is the site I use to plan for upcoming runs near me (Anchorage).  I'm sure if you browse around on the homepage (below), you can find races coming soon near you, wherever you are!

Mayor's Marathon
This is the half marathon I will be running.  If you are a runner or want to be, please consider joining me!


Lose it
This site helps you track your calories in and out, thus helping you lose/maintain weight.  This site helped me lose those unwanted extra pounds from over eating, restaurant dining, etc.  You can request me as a friend, and we can "lose it" together!


Last but not least, don't forget to find informative and inspirational books.  So far, I've enjoyed Running for Mortals, by John Bingham, and The Non-Runners Marathon Guide for Women, by Dawn Dais.  Please feel free to also comment regarding any resources that you have found helpful!  Happy running :)
